Russell Murray
Russell has been a professional recruiter since 1991 and has operated both as an external search consultant and internally as Head of Resourcing for Coutts & Co. He concentrates on the mid to senior, Regulated Sales and Private Banking Sectors.
Entering the financial sector in 1997 with Jonathan Wren, in 2003 Russell and Neil established the Northern Regional office for Hanover Search & Selection. Russell completed a number of notable assignments for clients which led to him being headhunted by Coutts & Co to establish and lead their in-house recruitment team.
Having affected a significant increase in the numbers and quality of individuals Coutts & Co recruited and having gained additional perspective on the Search Market from the client perspective, Russell established Optima alongside Neil Beresford with the goal of providing a truly consultative service for clients and candidates.
